This week we get to know comic book artist Dylan Jacobson. Dylan takes us a journey from his humble beginnings being found in a crate under an overpass, to his dream of finding financial aid and working for EA, all the way to his visit to a crab buffet the day we recorded this. We talk about crappy jobs, killer clowns, and why Sioux Falls is a great setting for superheroes. Dylan also talks about how rewarding it is to inspire others, especially school children to use art to tell their stories. This episode is sponsored by SiouxperCon 2017: The Sioux Empire Strikes Back. SiouxperCon is a fan convention celebrating several mediums: including comic books, anime, board games, video games, science fiction, and fantasy. A non-profit event, SiouxperCon is dedicated to promoting literacy and valuable life skills in an inclusive and friendly environment. Net proceeds from the convention will benefit REACH Literacy and the JY6 Foundation. Dylan had a lot of crabs just before we recorded this episode of The Sioux Empire Podcast.
